FAQ

What qualifications do you have?

We are ordained interfaith ministers. Licensing requirements for ministers vary by locality. In North Carolina where we perform a majority of our ceremonies ministers are not licensed. If you have any questions or concerns about our qualifications we will be happy to discuss this with you further. The bottom line is that we want you to be happy with your ceremony and we will work with you to achieve that goal.

We want you to perform a ceremony for us. What happens next?

You can contact us by telephone at 828.264.4511 or via email. We will gather basic information about you and the type of ceremony that you want, and schedule an appointment to meet. When we meet with you we will talk in depth about your ceremony, and answer any questions that you may have. If after this appointment you want us to perform your ceremony we will require a depostit to secure the date for your ceremony.

Is a rehearsal necessary?

We have found that more often than not, a rehersal is not necessary. Our ministers are experienced, knowledgeable and well prepared. We usually arrive at the ceremony site early, so that we can make sure that all parties know what to expect. This also keeps the costs down for you. However, if you wish to have a separate rehersal, we will be happy to accommodate you. We want you to feel secure and comfortable with your ceremony.

How long is the ceremony?

Ceremony lengths vary, but are usually between 15 - 30 minutes long. The length of your ceremony will depend on such variables as additional readings, songs, the inclusion of things like a candle lighting ceremony, and of course the size of your bridal party. We do not charge based on the length of your ceremony.
